Anthony David Gonzalez (born August 25, 1970) is an American former football tight-end. Gonzalez played for the National Football League from 1997 to 2003. One of the NFL's most efficient tight ends as well as third-best overall receiver, he has been named the NFL's most effective tight end, in terms of yards received, receptions and receptions, among other things.
Tony Gonzalez is currently a FOX studio analyst for the studio. Gonzalez is a regular show on FOX NFL KICKOFF from the start of the 2017 NFL season. The pregame program, lasting an hour, precedes FOX NFL Sunday, which airs each Sunday, at 11 AM ET in the NFL Season.
On the 15th of March, 2013, Gonzalez agreed to re-sign with the Falcons for a two-year $14 million contract, despite his claim that the Falcons would let him go after the 2013 season. Randy Moss retired in 2013 as did Gonzalez at 37 at the time, completed the year that ended his professional career in the position of being the NFL leader for receiving yards.
